With a slim lead in the Loras Poll, Braley campaign points to early vote strength

DES MOINES, Iowa – A new poll shows Iowa’s U.S. Senate race a dead heat while Democrat Bruce Braley claimed an edge over Republican Joni Ernst in early votes that are now being cast.

Braley campaign manager Sarah Benzing said more than 322,000 early votes have already been cast, a 40 percent increase over 2010 and Braley is leading Ernst by 14 points among that group. (more…)
